The search for Christine McIntyre

by Ryan Fay

Christine McIntyre, who passed away 29 years ago today, remains one of the most popular supporting players to ever work with the Stooges.
McIntyre

It may surprise some that she was once a lost player. That was back in the 1970's, well before the internet was available as a searching tool.

But thanks to the tireless detective work of fellow supporting player researcher Bill Cappello, McIntyre was found in the mid-1970's.

I strongly recommend everyone read about Cappello's search for McIntyre, which you may do by clicking here. It's well worth your time.

The articles were originally published in spring 1994 and summer 1994 issues The Three Stooges Journal.

  1. Good stuff....to me its still a mystery why a talent like hers just quit....it doesnt add up. She could sing better than any other actress and was an excellent comedic actress.

  2. Back then women took a back seat to her husbands career and she seemed content to rent apartments vs. Hollywood life.

  3. Love it; what a wonderful article about a beautiful and extremely talented lady and person. Without the author's work Christine -- the object of many baby boomers' first crush!! -- and her back story might be lost to time.
